Prof. Vladimir G. Kostishin, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, serves as Head of the Department of Electronics Materials Technology and Scientific Director of the Laboratory of Intelligent Service Systems at the National University of Science and Technology “MISIS” (Moscow, Russia). A graduate of the Physics Department of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv (1983), he completed his postgraduate and doctoral studies at the Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys. His research focuses on magnetic materials, ferrite ceramics, hexagonal ferrites, magnetoelectric composites, and microwave-absorbing materials, with pioneering contributions in radiation-thermal sintering, magneto-optical recording media, and magnetoimpedance sensors. He has led multiple projects under the Federal Target Programs of Russia and the Russian Science Foundation. He is the author of over 450 peer-reviewed publications, holds a Hirsch index of 38 (Scopus/WoS), and is named inventor on more than 60 patents. His honors include the title “Honorary Worker of Education of the Russian Federation,” multiple gold and silver medals at the Archimedes International Invention Salon, and the A.I. Berg Medal of the Academy of Engineering Sciences. He has supervised 13 Ph.D. (Candidate of Sciences) dissertations.
