Prof. C. Preferencial Kala holds a Ph.D. in Physics from SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), India, and currently serves as a Professor with over 23 years of teaching and research experience. Her research expertise lies in the computational analysis of molecular electronic devices, modeling and simulation of organic materials for spintronic applications, and first-principles studies of 2D materials for gas sensing and biosensing applications. She has authored over 50 research publications in reputed journals and contributed two book chapters. She holds an H-index of 8, reflecting the impact of her scholarly work. She has served as a Co-Investigator for the DST-FIST project funded by the Government of India and has also led a university-level pilot research project.
Prof. Kala is a Life Member of prestigious professional bodies such as the Materials Research Society of India (MRSI) and the Indian Science Congress Association (ISCA). Her contributions significantly advance the fields of computational materials science and nanoelectronic device research.
