Dr. Swarup Ghosh serves as an Assistant Professor and Assistant Dean (Research) in the School of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence at SR University. He holds a Ph.D. in Science from Jadavpur University with specialization in Artificial Intelligence and Computational Materials Science, particularlyin physics-informed and chemistry-oriented modelling of functional materials. His research expertise spans Machine Learning, First-Principles Calculations, Density Functional Theory (DFT), and Molecular Dynamics for advanced materials research. With extensive experience in both teaching and research, Dr. Ghosh has published peer-reviewed articles in high-impact international journals and presented his work at leading scientific conferences. Prior to joining SR University, he served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Jadavpur University, contributing to cutting-edge computational materials projects. He also taught as a Guest Faculty at Sammilani Mahavidyalaya (Affiliated to the University of Calcutta). Dr. Ghosh actively collaborates with national and international research groups, offering theoretical and computational support to validate and strengthen their experimental findings. His current research focuses on first-principles calculations, AI-driven materials discovery, data-centric modelling, and the integration of computational and machine learning methods for next-generation energy materials innovation.
